Female entrepreneurs in the beauty industry will get the support they need to grow their businesses and take advantage of business capital, thanks to a new partnership between Addo Aesthetics and the Liberté Foundation for Women.
The new partnership will provide five $10,000 Freedom in Action grants to support female entrepreneurs in the beauty industry. Funds can be used on business-related expenses, such as staff development, education, new equipment, and more. The latest $10,000 grant recipient is Juvy Cabanilla, a single mom and owner of Skincare Maui, who will use the grant to purchase supplies and equipment and continue her education and training.
The first recipient of the grant was awarded to Angela Moretti, owner of Brow Couture by Angela. Moretti was awarded a $10,000 grant to support community outreach of providing volunteer career advice to young women wanting to get into the beauty industry and to offer free makeup services to women undergoing cancer treatment.
“For many cancer survivors they have already endured so much, so I would love to help them obtain a sense of normalcy when they look in the mirror,” Moretti said.
Moretti hopes to use the grant to attend the Las Vegas Permanent Makeup Convention to network with beauty entrepreneurs and expand her skillset through receiving training from some of the most talented artists in the industry.
Addo Aesthetics CEO Daniela Woerner says the grants are about providing financial freedom to spa business owners, to support them to expand and develop as entrepreneurs.
“Addo Aesthetics is proud to partner with the Liberté Foundation for Women to offer grants to women-owned businesses in the beauty industry,” Woerner said.
“I’m so grateful that we’re now in a position to give in a bigger way, to elevate the beauty industry as a whole and to fund grants for female entrepreneurs to help them grow and prosper. Access to capital that does not need to be paid back can be the pivotal turning point for business owners in developing their businesses and will help elevate the beauty industry.”
Liberté Foundation for Women Founder Andrea Klein welcomed the partnership with Addo Aesthetics. “These grants give women access to the money they need, so they are able to start their journey to freedom and continue to grow as business owners,” Klein said. “Often the only missing piece to this freedom is cash, and we know that for many female business owners they already have the skills needed to start the business but lack the funds.”
“The selflessness of many women keeps them from asking for a loan, taking money from the family savings or even having a place to seek funding in the first place,” Klein added.
Applications for the grants are now open. For more information on the grants and to apply for a grant for your business, visit the Addo Aesthetics website.
