Elleebana shares a simple technique that can boost your confidence in determining the perfect processing time! We've all felt that nerve-wracking uncertainty about how long to leave the lotions on, fearing under or over-processing. While all lash lift systems offer a range of recommended processing times, it's ultimately up to you, the lash artist, to know when the lashes are ready for lotion removal. To help take out the guesswork, Elleebana share the Flex-and-Set check method.
Featuring Lauren Borowski, Elleebana Master Educator
Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, Lauren always knew she would pursue a career in the beauty industry. From the age of 10 she started learning everything she could about beauty, makeup, and fashion online and from local artists. She began taking classes at 13 years old in Special FX and Glam makeup and began working as a makeup artist locally in Cleveland, Ohio, just one year later. As a freelancer, she worked with local fashion designers on different projects, some of which ended up in shows like Paris Fashion Week. During her time as a younger freelancer, she shadowed the beauty departments and eventually took the lead in their hair and makeup departments years later. She also worked in New York City shadowing and assisting on live TV sets for nationally broadcast shows.
After freelancing as a junior for a few years, Lauren decided to attend cosmetology school where she learned everything about hair, skin, nails, and beauty. She went on to do local and state level competitions, winning awards across the country. Upon completing her course and becoming licensed at 18, she decided to attend a lash extension course as well and fell in love with the intricacies and technical challenges that come with lash extensions.
Lauren Borowski continued to do hair and makeup freelance while also opening her own lash and brow business in 2018. She worked doing lash extensions, brow tinting and waxing, lash lifts, and brow laminations for four years, owning and operating her own lash boutique offering results often only seen from more high-profile providers in her area.
Then in early 2022, Lauren moved to Australia, and decided the next step forward would be becoming an educator. She had long been inspired by her teachers and trainers along the way and is a firm believer that continuing education is one of the most important parts of our job as beauty professionals.
