- Dermatologists may treat leukoderma with a combination of drugs and light therapy using UVA or UVB to help restore skin tone. These treatments have varying results and do not stop the progression of the loss of pigment in other areas.
- Patients often seek the help of estheticians with camouflage makeup, which can be of tremendous help in restoring an even appearance to the skin tone for clients with leukoderma.
Leukoderma Contraindications
- Client should avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen daily.
