What is Rosehip Oil?

A dry, non-greasy oil that has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and moisturizing properties. Obtained from the seeds and fruit of the rose bush; it is not the same as rose oil, which is extracted from rose petals.

What Should I Know About Rosehip Oil?

• Contains beta-carotene, vitamin A (retinol), vitamin C, and vitamin E (tocopherol).
• Has beneficial properties for barrier protection.
• Can be used as a single ingredient or incorporated into creams and lotions.
• Oxidizes easily after air contact, so should be kept in small containers. Store unused oil in the refrigerator.

• An excellent emollient for dry skin.
• Helps guard barrier function and maintain moisturization.

Rosehip Oil Contraindications

• If used as a pure oil, patch-testing for potential allergy is strongly recommended.
