ASCP President Katie Armitage is retiring!
It is with heavy hearts and teary eyes we say goodbye to our mentor, friend, and leader, Katie Armitage. Katie has served as President of ASCP for the last 10 years and will be retiring this month. Since joining our sister association, Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals in December of 1993, Katie has made immeasurable contributions to the success of our companies. When we look back at the history of our associations, her enthusiasm, willingness to tackle any challenge, and ability to lead will forever leave a long-lasting impact on all of us. Over the past 23 years, Katie has had a hand in nearly all of the successes our four associations have seen, and we thank her tremendously for a job well done.
On a personal level, we will miss her immensely. Katie's warmth, generosity, fairness, and no-nonsense approach made her office not just a place for meetings, but also for guidance. She was known to help employees when they had financial hardships and was always compassionate about life's unexpected circumstances. She is a dear friend to all of us at ASCP, and we wish her the best on her next journey, where she intends to spend as much time as possible with her four grandchildren and traveling with her husband.
Congratulations on a successful, impactful career. Please join us in wishing her well!
